看到这家面馆排队排到马路上，就加入了队伍。要了一碗香菇馄饨，吃了2个，勺子里出现了黑乎乎的线头，叫来服务员，没话说端走。等了半天，送来一碗，一看，馄饨是一个个馅皮分开，烂糊糊的，这分明是回了一下锅，又端上来忽悠人了。我立马端过去，走到收款台，问哪位是老板，不料问的就是老板，旁边好多顾客都说，这不像话，老板二话不说，说退钱吧。我也不知道这是老板吩咐还是小工帮倒忙。现在昧着良心赚黑心钱的多得是，小小一碗馄饨照出了人的灵魂。

Peter Luger Steak house

I tried not to enjoy my meal here, thought it could be another waterloo moment for a michelin restaurant, I really did.

But alas, Peter Luger didn't disappoint.

The food...  dare I say it?...will I get sentenced by Luger's competitors for life?...are people still executed for blasphemy?  My steak came sizzling out on a hot plate, already drizzled in butter.  The gorgeous sight almost made tears well up in my eyes. The wait staff sliced the steak up to show off the perfect medium-rare color- Pinkish-red on the inside with no blood dripping from it.

I don't crave steak a lot but do love watching the physical progression that takes place throughout steak-eating:

frenzied enthusiasm...tempered pace...close defeat...second wind...struggling finish...final exhale and wiping of the meat sweats...

know what i'm saying?

近日又试了厚切培根luger's sizzling bacon做头盘，竟也是出乎意料的过瘾好吃。说是前菜，拿到面前才发觉尺寸已经威胁到国内炸猪排的大小了，可见店家建议逐片点，自有它的道理。厚切培根咬起来不似普通的脆硬，反而丰盈饱满，肉感十足。似俺这等好在外人面前装娇滴滴的女生，就算不吃牛排，叫上两片培根，和上沙拉面包等，也算是一顿hearty meal拉。

只是每次来造访这肉香扑鼻的new york No.1 steakhouse, 都只有哩哩啦啦的2，3枚小人，点上个porterhouse for 2已经是吃到不能直立行走。不过还是很贪心地暗忖，这样老派的牛排馆，就是要拉帮结伙，吃个人声鼎沸，不是才更衬old school的调调呢？

另外一个福利是，点单时还能豪迈地冲着服务生喊上一嗓子：

Porterhouse for eight!!!

I came here long ago for the Eliane Elias Tribute to Bill Evans. Eliane has a voice that can melt butter and hearts...her vocal range spans from the highest of high notes to lowest of low notes...from sweet and breathy to sharp and emotional.... The gig was composed of four band members on drums, double bass, piano, and vibraphone playing with remarkable fluidity and unpretentious character.  Bill's beloved pieces were delicate yet so intense and, yes, at times even spiritual.Big kudos to them!!

Like we all know: Everybody Digs Bill Evans.

Blue Note

I went there couple of months ago on a whim, following an incredibly yummy dinner at  Aquagrill. Seating is very tight: I paid 40 bucks just to stand by the bartender.

The space is tiny, crowded with busy waiters and mumbling foreigners. Not to say the food was bad as hell...simply tell from the huge portion of leftovers. I can only enjoy the music if none of mine” unrequested table neighbors" were whispering to each other.

One point got to make: Blue Note management sucks. The waiters served meals and waited on people while the band was playing. The place was cramped so it pretty much cluttered the entire aura of the band...

NYC blue note is a place I won't go any time soon even though I had made plans for Dave Brubeck . There are other places for quality jazz music if it's solely about the tunes.

NO JAZZ Etiquette... uhhh blood rising...

Bouley

Bouley has always been near the top of my places to try coz this is a 2 star Michelin restaurant. But I just haven't found the time... until recently.

It looks a bit anonymous outside.  Stepping through the heavy doors, the heady crispy scent of fresh apple filled my nose. I was transported from a bustling Tribeca street into a cozy, cavernous, candle lit dining room. So far, so good.

After we carefully studying the menu, the biggest dilemma was, tasting menu or a la carte? I was pretty sure we gonna explode like 2 atomic bombs after the tasting menu. So I asked whether we could share one tasting menu and get something else.  Unfortunately, we somehow got a "French" waiter, possibly the manager? He was a bit stand-offish, and seemed to be... rude, yes, he was. We received the coldest NO ever and have to opt for a la carte.

The meal then starts with a canape from the chef, which i didn't exactly remember. The oysters my friend got, really nice, not the sort of thing we can get at home. By the way, he's quite a foodie. Guess his credit card bill list usually looks like the yellow pages section for the varieties of eateries. ^_^ The app started with Return From Chiang Mai,beautifully made with chilled Maine lobster, mango, artichoke, and Serrano ham with a tropic dressing.  I know it sounds wacky, but it tastes inventively good.

吃着这碗惊世骇俗的拉面，我不得不怀疑厨房大叔，是不是已倾尽所有，把冰箱里能找到的吃食，都放进我碗里……

一片卷心菜
一只辣肉丸子
一砣蔫儿蒜辧{ 扔了可惜}
一块冰冻碎鸡腿肉汗油豆腐{是为了测试他们是否已过期}
还有从碗底打捞上来的肥白糯米团！！！{为什么为什么为什么阿}


路数相当的诡异，

负责任的说，太难吃了。

蛋，蛋是，饥寒交迫的我，还是把它全吃完了，

液，我明白了，我们确实都是猪科来的。

咬牙跺脚花了100多大洋买了8套眼膜，据说是高科技来着……据说一般迷信的人才相信高科技。一包用完后的效果，总的来说，就是，没有效果……2条小细纹依旧嚣张滴在眼皮底下示威着，怒了！小爷以后直接存钱打Botox！！！

话说九月末十月初的时候，日子平淡如水，生活的中心基本转移到以啃螃蟹肉为主嚼螃蟹壳为辅，舌头基本报废。眼瞅着余下的日子，我就只能默默承受用勺子吃螃蟹的结局了。

悲剧。

父亲大人很体贴地预定了王宝和的位子邀请国内同胞、海外侨胞共度大闸蟹不眠之夜。一大群人呼啦啦来到饭店，作为一枚点菜界冉冉崛起的新星，我义不容辞地挑起点菜这个重任。只见我伸手向空中打一个响指：小姐，上菜单！那种气吞山河，一切尽在掌握的气势，那摸的震撼。我四下偷窥在座俊男帅哥，不出所料，皆已面若桃花，为之倾倒。

菜单到手，随意一瞄价格，还是再次给一个劳动人民的孩子敲响了警钟。

飞速翻页，同时口吐莲花——“蟹粉豆腐，清炒蟹粉，蟹粉鲈鱼，蟹粉鱼翅，蟹粉炒银皮（银皮素舍莫），蟹粉歇脚，蟹粉鲍鱼，蟹粉芦笋，蟹粉小龙，蟹粉鱼圆汤……”我扑闪着无辜的双眼看着在座各位，征求意见：要不……再来12只清蒸螃蟹？”

报完上面这些菜，我害羞地低下了头，两朵红云飞上了面颊。我明白，地球人可以分为两类：会点菜的和不会点菜的。以上配菜的重复令人发指，我作为一个天生的点菜尤物实在应该羞愤难当才对。不过等上菜的时候，已经顾不得那么多了。我用勺子吃螃蟹，吃得不省人事。这个破地方，勺子也是破的，跟我阿娘当年用的一个路数，不过我阿娘那把是铝的，喂我喝了很多奶高。

这里的服务人员远看近看都会以为是城市雕塑。三个一群两个一伙东倒西歪站在包房门外，背对着一屋子客人，人手一个palm义无反顾地将自己有限的服务生命投入到无限的斗地主革命事业中去。我们几乎喊破嗓子门口那个才会装模作样探半个脑袋进来看看包房里的人——是不是都还活着……

请客做东的自然不好意思怠慢客人，端茶送水换碟夹菜点头哈腰陪笑脸，一个都不能少。

凝望自己忙碌的身影，我不禁陷入了沉思，触景生情，往事渐渐浮上心头……我想到了隐泉的翻版冷清秋，想到了梧桐的眼镜西装男，甚至想到了火锅七八九……才恍然大悟今天原来吃得是自助餐。

嗷吃！心很痛。

最重量级的清真大螃蟹终于上场了，我摩拳擦掌开始啃蟹腿。蟹尔那一双笔直小腿真让人销魂，就凭这双腿，啧啧，想不贵都难啊！！我像一只啮齿类毛茸茸小动物，捧着爪子，啃啃啃。啃得酣畅淋漓，不让自己有空闲时间堕落……咀嚼的时光永远是令人激动。

出门的时候，我不得不用鱼缸包捂着小肚子。其一是由于螃蟹吃多了，所以手冰脚凉，觉得9月大上海实在是冷风呼啸。其二，是因为各色珍馐吃暴了，害怕一不小心胃比胸高啊……

后记：用勺子吃螃蟹的人都是笨蛋。

苗苗是我高中三年最心仪的女友，该美女最让人傻眼的就是在高考语文前一天的早上一字不漏地猜到了作文题目并让我顺利成为受益人……对于这样一个神棍式人物，我想同学们一定都削尖了脑袋要把生辰八字交给她，看看自己的人生到底有没有料。

又扯远了。

10月6日那天，苗苗同学在人满为患的msn上窜下跳，丝毫不顾我近期倍受晕动症困扰一连闪频振动了三次：通知我已经从同事（后来推测是风投级票贩子）手里以低于原价 20元的惊人跳楼价获取当晚rain上海演唱会票 两枚。作为一个整日沉迷于男色的中年知识分子，我二话不说，从沙发上一个鲤鱼打挺，抓起BOTTEGA VENETA（此处增加作者适当幻想）摔门而去。

刚下轻轨，就有牛群冲上来吆喝票子要伐票子要伐，深感大事不妙的我自动浮现msn右数第四下数第三的小黄脸……在体育场门口听莺莺燕燕叽叽喳喳，竟然听到有人以200甩卖2000的内场票……介个……空气中顿时都嗅得到伤感的味道……江湖险恶阿！！！

演唱会具体已经记不得了，貌似就是，一枚老会计和一枚小律师，抱了又跳……跳了又抱……后面1个多小时，嗓子由微挂到彻底挂……太刺激了，实在是太刺激了（作者免冠徒跣伏案摔笔大哭三分钟）。

临近最后的时刻，只见rain从舞台中央缓缓升起，一席白色燕尾服，大屏幕上梦幻般惊现一对天使翅膀……此情此景俗人如我也迸发出人小鬼大的浪漫念想：与暗恋的人莱到内场空地，当着全场数万疯狂歌迷的面，（几乎不可能有人注意你），表白吧。

我的脑海里浮现出：两人相拥的剪影，远远是人头攒动的内场歌迷，兀自挥舞摇曳。一旁，数万鼎沸的黑压压人群，却静至能听到对方的心跳。头顶飞落的荧光棒好比流星，随便说什么——或是什么都不说，都是真真正正两人世界。

曲终人散，打不到出租，两枚衰人就只好搀扶着往四川北路方向前行，苗苗就着自己尚未散发殆尽的余热和已经全挂的嗓子，面带羞涩地向我袒露了最近的暗恋动向和由此引发的一切可能性……我自然喜形于色，激动地拍了拍她肩膀，大声喊道：

没别的，
