Well, it's fine dining Thai. Just check out the price: $S for 2 with 3 dishes, one dessert. Not much for a quite high price. The food is good (yet not a big fan of Thai, thinks the sour and spice covers all the natural flavor of food)

明辉活田鸡粥

This is an old popular frog shop. They have frogs in 7 different way of cooking. Companying the porriage or noodles. It's very value for money and tasty.

It's in the middle of the central market (well, a line of veggie, meat, fish stalls). We went there deep at night so all these were closed, while the taverna was still open. It has high ceiling inside and quite nice atmosphere. Again, it was cafeteria style, where we went to pick your food. We had ordered 2 soup (pork and lamb), one spagetti, and some lady finger. The pork soup was the best (with a bit of vinegar). A quite value for money place

After missing lunch again, we went out for early dinner as hungry as we could get. It was recommended as the place to go by hotel. And it wasn't disappointing, at least not for the portion. We got the 50 Euro seafood platter, ok my, the portion is so huge and we had so much leftoever so ended up we were having them for lunch the next day

The restaurant is no longer traditional greek cooking, that's probably why the salad I had tasted so good (more Italian than Greek). BF had his classic grished black snapper. He finished each piece of it (not sure if it's too delicious or he was just too hungry from missing lunch). Btw, the sunset view is gorgeous (but this is Santorini, so I guess less surprising)

Given we skipped lunch for ice cream and orange juice, we decided to have early dinner. The outdoor seating area by the sea was packed at 5:30pm, which tells how popular this place is. We definited went for seafood. BF got his singature grilled fresh fish and I got the seafood platter. Honestly the cooking is very basic: lots of oliver oil and garlic, yet the freshness of the seafood made up for it

Went to this highly recommended restaurant in old town of Chania. It was Turkish bath house before it was turned into restaurant. So it has this weird interior setting. In the middle you have lower space (which was the big bath area) and surrounded by higher space (where people seat naked?) The food was quite decent. BF's rabbit is a bit tough (that's rabbit meat, so it's bad choice for him). My Kebab is quite tasty.

Fed up with meat along the way, BF decided to stick to grilled fish (after all we are in Crete) and I decided to go for veggies (bad food means chance to lose weight, right?). So he ordered grilled fresh fish with fries, while I went for some interesting stuffed artichoke (just curious to see how artichoke can be stuffed). The restaurant is by the beach so you cannot miss it (It's said there are only 7 restaurants in the town anyway)

It's said to be a family run "grandma" cooking restaurant. You go into the kitchen to pick the food which the cook prepare for the day. It's quite tasty, as said, quite homy. The setting is also interesting and the location is very central

I generally don't trust tour food. Yet this is a happy surpirse. The roasted lamb is to die for (very soft, long time cooked). The wine they served (we picked Nemea wine) was also decent. We were very happy with the tour selection
